Peaceful and endearing, the koala is an iconic marsupial of Australia. Recognizable by its thick grey fur, black muzzle, and large rounded ears, it spends the majority of its time clinging to the branches of eucalyptus trees.
A highly specialized herbivore, it feeds almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves, which it digests thanks to a unique system. Surprisingly, despite its reputation as a sleeper, the koala can spend up to 20 hours a day resting to conserve energy. The young, called "joeys," grow in their mother's pouch before climbing onto her back to discover the trees.
This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the koala: dense fur, expressive muzzle, and characteristic posture. An ideal model to complete a collection of wild animals, invent stories in the heart of the Australian forest, or raise children's awareness of the protection of this endangered marsupial.
A great gift idea for curious children, animal enthusiasts, those interested in discovering wildlife, and collectors of Papo figurines.
